The BCCI finalized the schedule for the 2018 season, and the WPL will contest in four locations for the first time. They held the second season in Delhi and Bengaluru, while they held the first season solely in Mumbai. But this year, Baroda, Bengaluru, Lucknow, and Mumbai will host the competition.
At the recently constructed BCA Stadium in Baroda, the Gujarat Giants will play the reigning champions, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, on February 14 to begin the 2025 season. WPL, Before the action moves to Bengaluru, where the reigning champions will play four home games, Baroda will host five more games.

Before the action first moves to Lucknow, Bengaluru will host eight games in total. The host team for three of the four games planned in Lucknow for WPL 2025 will be UP Warriorz.
After that, the action moves to Mumbai, where they hold the Eliminator and the final. Before the second-place and third-place teams face off in the Eliminator on March 13, the Mumbai Indians will play two home games to wrap up the group stage at the CCI. On March 15, the victor of that matchup will play the table-toppers in the championship match at the same location of WPL.
Why Four Cities?
Organizers aim to spread the tournament across four cities to expand the reach of women’s cricket and tap into diverse fan bases. By doing so, the BCCI hopes to foster a stronger connection between fans and their favorite teams, increasing the overall popularity of the WPL.
Additionally, this move ensures that more spectators can attend matches, and players get to experience playing in varied conditions, making the tournament more competitive.
