New Delhi: According to reports, Indian cricket star Virat Kohli will join the Delhi squad before their Ranji Trophy Elite Group D match against Saurashtra, which is expected to start on January 23. Even if Kohli does not participate in the game, it is quite probable that he would join the Delhi team in Rajkot and train with them, according to a Cricbuzz article, even though he has not yet formally confirmed his attendance. If Kohli plays, it will be his first time for Delhi in the Ranji Trophy since 2012. Rishabh Pant, an Indian batsman and wicketkeeper, has already announced that Kohli will be playing in the game.

To help the faltering national cricket team develop “discipline and unity,” the BCCI created a detailed 10-point program. Mandatory domestic cricket involvement, limitations on family and personal staff attendance during tours, and a prohibition on individual sponsorships during ongoing series are some of the key requirements.
Sanctions, including lower retainer fees from central contracts and exclusion from the lucrative Indian Premier League, will follow noncompliance with these procedures.
The team’s dismal performance during the catastrophic tour of Australia, which followed a home series thumping by New Zealand, prompted the implementation of these sanctions.
In addition to imposing limitations on personal staff and commercial shots, the Board has allowed families to go with players on international tours for a period of two weeks.
According to the Board rules, “The Head Coach and the Chairman of the Selection Committee must give their prior approval for any exceptions or deviations.” The BCCI may decide to take disciplinary action for noncompliance.
Additionally, the policy cautions that “the BCCI retains the right to take disciplinary action against a player, which may include deductions from the retainer amount or match fees under the BCCI Player contract, as well as the player’s exclusion from all BCCI-conducted tournaments, including the Indian Premier League.”
