The Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi League (UPKL) has started in Uttar Pradesh and is structured after the Pro Kabaddi League. Through August 25th, a number of exciting matchups will be played every day. This league is made up of eight clubs in total. This competition is played by teams like Awadh Ramdoots, Noida Ninjas, Kashi Kings, Sangam Challengers, Ayodhya Warriors, Brij Stars, Yamuna Yoddhas, and Ganga Kings of Mirzapur.
Along with numerous well-known players, local players compete in the UP Kabaddi League. This league includes a few famous players from the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL). They have already shown their abilities in the PKL, and now they are doing the same in the UPKL. Now, let us introduce you to the five prominent PKL players that are taking part in this competition.
5. Harendra Kumar – Kashi Kings
Harendra Kumar makes a superb defenseman. He was a player in the Pro Kabaddi League for UP Yoddhas. Harendra, who played left cover, was a valuable member of the squad in many games. In 15 games, he recorded 15 tackle points and one high five. He also played for UP Yoddha in the previous 9th season, participating in 21 games and totaling 26 points. He participated in the seventh and eighth seasons for UP Yoddha as well. Now, he plays for Kashi Kings in the UP Kabaddi League.
4. Robin Chaudhary – Bridge Stars
During the tenth season of PKL, Robin Chaudhary made his television debut. As a player for the Telugu Titans, he had a big influence. He participated in 18 games for his squad in all, scoring 55 raid points in those contests. Despite Telugu Titans’ dismal performance in the 10th PKL season, new youngster Robin Chaudhary made a big impression. He now plays for the UPKL’s Bridge Stars.
3. Ashu Singh – Awadh Ramdoots
Ashu Singh, a defender who covers right, has also played for PKL. During the 10th season, he participated in 18 games for UP Yoddha and scored 22 points. But in 23 games during the ninth season, he got 49 tackle points, which was an incredible achievement. During the eighth season, he also collected 53 tackle points in 23 games. Ashu Singh plays for Awadh Ramdoots in the UP Kabaddi League.
2. Sahul Kumar – Kashi Kings
Having competed in the Pro Kabaddi League from its inception, Sahul Kumar is among the league’s most seasoned defenders. In the ninth season, he was a major factor in Jaipur Pink Panthers being champions. During that season, he participated in 24 games and recorded 57 tackle points. He also earned 39 points in 21 games during the 10th season, including 5 great tackles. Sahul Kumar, who plays for the Kashi Kings in the UPKL, will be in charge of the right corner.
1. Arjun Deshwal – Lucknow Lions
There is no need to introduce Arjun Deshwal in the kabaddi world. In the ninth season, he was instrumental in the Jaipur Pink Panthers becoming the PKL champions. That season, Arjun Deshwal played in 24 games and scored 296 points. For the whole season, he was the raider with the most raid points.
He also gave an incredible performance in the tenth season. Along with Ashu Malik, Arjun Deshwal was the season’s best raider with 278 points from 23 games. Arjun Deshwal is a member of the UP Kabaddi League as well. He plays for the Lucknow Lions.
