At Kolkata’s famous Eden Gardens, the reigning champion Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will square off on March 22 to begin the much anticipated Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Every team’s makeup has altered since the big auction, and five clubs have replaced their captains before the 2025 IPL season begins. The remaining five clubs, however, have showed trust and kept their captain for the next IPL season.
The IPL 2025 captains for CSK, MI, RCB, KKR, and every other team are listed below:
1. Chennai Super Kings: Ruturaj Gaikwad

In the next IPL 2025 season, Ruturaj Gaikwad will captain the five-time champion Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Under Gaikwad’s leadership, CSK missed out on the playoffs in the 2024 Indian Premier League, and he will try to establish himself as captain this year.
2. Royal Challengers Bengaluru: Rajat Patidar

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have announced Rajat Patidar as their new captain for the 2025 Indian Premier League. Faf du Plessis was succeeded in the position by Patidar. Despite winning seven of their 14 games and finishing fourth in the IPL 2024 under captain Faf du Plessis, RCB lost to Rajasthan in the Eliminator.
3. Mumbai Indians: Hardik Pandya

In the next IPL 2025 season, Hardik Pandya will captain the five-time champion Mumbai Indians (MI). Mumbai placed last in the IPL 2024 points standings when Hardik was captain. But the team has trust in him, and the star all-rounder will try to turn MI’s fortunes around in the 2025 Indian Premier League.
