Not Virat Kohli! This player would lead RCB in Rajat Patidar’s absence
Rajat Patidar’s injury would have given the RCB captaincy to top batsman-wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma if the tournament had gone on without any disruptions. On Friday, he was supposed to captain the club in their game against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
Speaking about this on RCB Bold Diaries, Jitesh Sharma expressed his gratitude for being seen as capable of leading a squad like RCB. He stated:
“I was really appreciative of the chance that was provided to me. For me and my family, it’s a huge deal that they were giving me the chance to captain the RCB. Since Rajat and Devdutt [Padikkal] were both unavailable and it would be a significant duty to replace them, I was considering what the best combination would be.
“And we would have won this game based on where we were on the points table. I was thinking about all of this, as well as the batting order, conversations with bowlers, and meetings with coaches and players throughout those two to three days. I had a fantastic time.
