India star bowler Mohammed Shami, top wicket-taker at the ODI World Cup 2023, has reacted strongly to Inzamam-ul-Haq’s allegations.
Former Pakistani captain Inzamam ul Haq made an odd accusation against Indian bowler Arshdeep Singh at the T20 World Cup in 2024. Inferentially, he claimed that the left-arm pacer was manipulating the ball. With a reference to his bowling against Australia, Inzamam stated: “The ball was reversing when Ashdeep Singh bowled the fifteenth over. Is it too soon to use the fresh ball in reverse swing? This indicates that by the twelfth or thirteenth over, the ball was prepared for reverse swing. Umpires ought to be vigilant about spotting these kinds of things.Reverse swinging the ball by Pakistani bowlers would have been a major problem.
Mohammed Shami, the leading wicket-taker in the 2023 ODI World Cup for India, has responded angrily to the accusations. A peculiar accusation was made against Shami personally at the 2023 World Cup. Hasan Raza, a former Pakistani player, said that Shami’s increased swing was caused by India’s use of balls that had an embedded device.
“I promised to cut the ball and reveal whether or not there is a gadget in an interview. Though khod ke dia hai inhone, abhi ek aur. ‘How can Arshdeep Singh obtain reverse swing?’ they asked. To Inzamam bhai, I just have one thing to say. His esteem is immense. Isn’t it ball-tampering if you do the same thing? Their goal will be those who perform well against them. On Shubhankar Mishra’s YouTube channel, Shami stated, “India and Pakistan are arch-rivals.”
“I don’t think you guys can claim that even if you were players once. Wasim Akram further mentioned that after the umpire hands you the ball, there is no way for you to tamper with it. Cartoongiri of this kind is not excellent. These claims are made to deceive people.
