While Roma thrashed Udinese 3-0 as supporters protested the shocking dismissal of Daniele De Rossi, AC Milan stunned Inter Milan 2-1 thanks to a brilliant header from Matteo Gabbia, earning his team bragging rights. Milan emerged from a terrible start to the season when defender Gabbia sprang to the occasion and crushed in Tijjani Reijnders’ free kick in the 89th minute to earn AC Milan a Serie A victory.

Gabbia’s late winner put Paulo Fonseca’s team in seventh position with eight points, after Federico Dimarco had leveled Christian Pulisic’s outstanding 10-minute solo effort just before the half-hour mark.
“They were the better team tonight, we didn’t play as a team and that’s not something you can usually say about us,” Inzaghi added.
Milan break the Derby curse
After being thrashed by Liverpool on Tuesday, Milan was jeered off the field, but after a solid showing as the designated away team at a throbbing San Siro, the supporters were back in full force.
They had the greatest opportunities to win the game in the second half, and Inter goalkeeper Yann Sommer played a great game to keep the game close, but they still deserved to win.
Shortly after the restart, the Swiss made an incredible save to prevent Rafael Leao from putting Milan ahead, and twenty minutes later, he dove low to stop Reijnders.
When Sommer stopped Leao’s close-range finish after a quick counterattack in the 75th minute, he once more cursed his fate.
