Rapper Drake, who has won many Grammy Awards, spent a whopping USD 250,000 (about Rs 2.07 crore) on Kolkata Knight Riders to beat Sunrisers Hyderabad in Sunday’s IPL 2024 final. The Canadian artist shared a photo of the receipt on social networking site Instagram. The musician frequently wagers on different sporting events throughout the globe. Drake had never wagered on a cricket match before, until now. Users immediately commented on the rapper’s wagering history, causing the post to go viral.

He has lost a significant amount of money on his wagers, including a USD $2 million wager on the UFC match between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira in 2022. Drake had wagered that Adesanya would win the bout, but Pereira ultimately prevailed by technical knockout.
Drake was spot on with his Super Bowl 2024 prediction, though, as the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in an incredible game.
After finishing first in the league stages with 19 points, Kolkata Knight Riders easily defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad in the first qualifying round to secure their place in the IPL 2024 championship. However, despite having a strong run of form, SRH, who placed third in the points standings, had a difficult journey.
After defeating Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL Eliminator, the Pat Cummins-led team easily overcame Rajasthan Royals in the IPL Qualifier 2 on Friday.
“This season, the lads have been outstanding. As you can see, the team is in a wonderful mood. We achieved our aim of reaching the final, which was our original plan for the season. We understood that our batting was our strongest suit, and we wouldn’t undervalue the experience in this group. Having Bhuvi, Nattu, and Unadkat in the lineup is a dream come true and makes my work much easier. [On whose judgment Shahbaz’s inclusion as an impact player was made] Dan Vettori was a left-arm orthodox man who aspired to have as many of these people as feasible.”
“Abhishek bowled beautifully and those two won it with their bowling in the middle overs. That was a surprise. They tried to stick one out of him with a couple of right-handers.” 170 was a difficult target to chase, but we felt we had a chance if we took a few wickets. I will never claim to be able to figure out the pitch and circumstances, which change every week. It is for the entire franchise, meaning that there should be one more person remaining after 60 or 70 of them gave their all, according to Cummins.
