Heavyweights Johnny Fisher and Alen Babic weighed in front of an enthusiastic audience at York Hall in Bethnal Green, before of their bout at the Copper Box Arena in London.
As usual, Fisher had strong support, and the weigh-ins went over without a hitch, with the exception of a verbal altercation between cruiserweights John Hedges and Lewis Oakford.
Babic described his battle with Fisher as “a gift from the Gods” and stated that he was hoping to bounce back from Lukasz Rozanski’s loss. He went on, “This is my ‘Savage’ show.” “It will be extremely agonizing for them [Fisher’s supporters].” I’m sorry for them. I hope we’ll be in the hospital for weeks and it will be a wonderful 10-round war.
“I have a question, who’s ready for a scrap at the Copper Bosh [as he calls it]?” Fisher yelled at his supporters.
“Every battle I get into gets bigger than the last one.” We must continue to move in the proper way.
