Regarding the future of eight players, including Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer, and KL Rahul, concerns have been raised since the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was compelled to make three changes in the Indian team for the Twenty20 International series against Zimbabwe.

Prior to the first two matches, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shivam Dube, and Sanju Samson were replaced by Harshit Rana, Jitesh Singh, and Sai Sudharsan, according to the BCCI.
Due to Hurricane Beryl, which hit Barbados on June 30, the airport there was closed and flights were canceled, leaving the three players stranded there.
In the instance of Ishan Kishan, he played all formats for the Indian team up till the 2023 trip of South Africa. He requested to take a break after the tour. In the Indian Premier League 2024, he played as a wicketkeeper for the Mumbai Indians despite a number of scandals.
Ishan disregarded the BCCI’s repeated demands to participate in the Ranji Trophy for Jharkhand and a few other domestic competitions. Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer were subsequently dropped from the BCCI central contracts.
Seven other players, including KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer, have another case. They were also not picked for the Zimbabwe tour.
Varun Chakravarthy, Mayank Yadav, Umran Malik, Yash Dayal, etc., were not considered for the bowling department during selection.
