The reigning champions Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore will play their opening match of the IPL 2025 season on March 22. The organizers have set the schedule for the second game, featuring the runners-up from the previous season, Sunrisers Hyderabad, who will compete against the Rajasthan Royals, for March 23 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad.

However, the announcement that they would not be able to watch IPL matches for free on their mobile devices has disappointed cricket fans. In contrast to the previous season, when JioCinema offered free IPL match streaming, viewers will now have to pay a monthly fee.
This modification follows JioCinema and Disney Hotstar’s merger prior to the 2025 Indian Premier League. Now, JioHotstar is a single app that combines the two platforms. The software will allow fans to watch IPL matches for free for a few minutes, but to watch the entire match on a mobile device, they will need a membership.
The subscription packages cost ₹499 for a year and ₹149 for three months. The three-month subscription costs ₹299 for those who wish to access on two devices, while the yearly plan costs ₹899. JioHotstar has also included ad-free membership choices so that you may watch matches without interruption.
