Manolo Marquez, the head coach of the Indian senior men’s team, declared 26 probables on Tuesday for the forthcoming FIFA International Friendly match against Malaysia, which will take place at Hyderabad’s GMC Balayogi Gachibowli Stadium on November 18. On November 11, the squad will gather in Hyderabad for the training camp. The Blue Tigers and Vietnam played a friendly encounter earlier in October, ending in a 1-1 tie. India’s lone scorer versus Vietnam was Farukh Choudhary.
In recent times, the Indian national football team has not performed well on the pitch. Eleven of the Blue Tigers’ prior games have ended without a victory.
India’s most recent victory was on November 16, 2023, when they defeated Kuwait 1-0 in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. Since then, they have been having trouble winning games.
The Blue Tigers will be looking to end their losing record and secure a victory in the next game. Manolo Marquez, the head coach of India, has selected three seasoned goalkeepers for the team. Rahul Bheke and Sandesh Jhingan Anwar Ali were also included in the team to bolster their defense.
The team for the Blue Tigers’ forthcoming friendly match also includes Brandon Fernandes, Jithin MS, Jeakson Singh Thounaojam, and Anirudh Thapa. In the meantime, the offensive force against Malaysia will be led by Lallianzuala Chhangte.
