The on-field fight between Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq became one of the major controversies during Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. One of the biggest scandals of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 was the altercation between Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq on the pitch. When Kohli and Naveen got into a heated dispute during the Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs. Lucknow Super Giants game, the altercation became ugly. As teammates attempted to keep them apart, coach Gautam Gambhir then became involved and got into another argument with Kohli. LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka recently spoke candidly about the entire situation and the chat he had with the Afghanistan fast bowler.

“That incident happened during a game. Therefore, I won’t discuss if it was correct or not. Although passing judgment is simple, we shouldn’t. Goenka stated on the TRS Podcast, “I just told Naveen that we are here to support you if you need any help or are feeling insecure.”
However, it’s not about demonstrating your fighting spirit. I would have said, “You said this to me,” if I were in your shoes. I’m going to bowl now so that I get every wicket of your squad,” he continued.
Naveen shared a picture of mangoes on social media after the occurrence, accompanied with a video of Kohli being bowled for one during a game against the Mumbai Indians.
But as they embraced on the pitch during India vs. Afghanistan’s 2023 ODI World Cup match, the two put their issues aside.
“He is a kind child with a big heart. He went to make amends with Virat as a result. Naturally, Virat is Virat. These things do happen. A similar incident involving Travis Head and Mohammed Siraj occurred. As an owner, you just need to calm these things down when they occur,” he said.
