However, in addition to the next ODI Tri-Series, Karachi will host the opening ceremony and the tournament opener, therefore the Sindh police are taking preemptive measures to guarantee security.
A police spokesman claims that the commissioner has already held meetings to personally supervise the security setup at Karachi’s National Stadium.
“A police spokesperson told PTI that they are drawing up plans to deploy at least 5000 security personnel, including units of the Sindh police, for the matches, on routes, and at team hotels.”
Two groups are formed from the eight teams. Afghanistan, England, Australia, and South Africa are in Group B, while Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and New Zealand are in Group A. Regarding the Champions Trophy 2025 format, the top two teams from each group go to the semi-finals after each team plays three games in the group round.
The championship match will pit the top two teams from the semifinals against one another. While the other seven competitors have already declared their provisional rosters, Pakistan is yet to reveal their squad for the 2025 Champions Trophy.
