Alyssa Healy is rushing to participate in Australia’s next ODIs against India after being sidelined for the rest of the WBBL due to a knee injury.
Australia’s captain will not play for the Sydney Sixers again this tournament, the team said on Saturday, due to a left knee injury. Healy is very doubtful for international duty as Australia’s three-match ODI series begins four days after the WBBL final.

Healy sustained a foot injury that interrupted her T20 World Cup early, and she was unable to play in Sixers’ last-start defeat to the Brisbane Heat due to body management. Before visiting New Zealand for three additional one-day matches during Christmas, Australia hosts India in three One-Day Internationals.
Healy’s performance evaluators will reportedly assess him throughout the next two weeks before those two series, and the team will reveal a squad the following weekend.
Experts do not think her injury is severe enough to put her in question for the multi-format Ashes, which start on January 12 with an ODI in North Sydney.
When she first returned from her foot injury, Healy had cautioned that she would require summer management.
Earlier this month, Healy stated, “I fully understand that there are higher powers sitting above that are quite vocal in what can and can’t happen.” “For me, being captain is also a really significant duty.
“I truly like playing cricket with the Sixers, and I haven’t played many games there in the last two seasons. I would like to play in every game, but in practice, it may not be possible.”
“Throughout the summer, I’ll have to manage my discomfort, function, and what I can and cannot do. Additionally, how I recover after games will be crucial.
The Sixers might have to win their next three games to go to the WBBL finals, so Healy’s injury is a major setback.
If Healy is unable to play for his country, Tahlia McGrath, who filled in as captain during the World Cup, will take over as captain once more.
