At least one rumor from this afternoon suggests that Chelsea intends to employ one of its new young acquisitions in and around the first team squad this summer.
The Blues have made a lot of new signing announcements already this summer, but not all of them appear to be long-term additions as they often bring in a number of young players.

It seems possible that this new adolescent recruit will be awarded a berth in Enzo Maresca’s starting lineup for the upcoming season, though you might be excused if that allegation makes you quite skeptical.
According to a report released by Football London’s Bobby Vincent, which can be viewed below, new striker Marc Guiu, who was formally revealed as a Chelsea acquisition from Barcelona yesterday, is expected to be included in the first team plans for this season.

The 18-year-old, who just graduated from Barcelona’s La Masia development system, will have a chance to play for Chelsea this year.
Chelsea would undoubtedly want to do that, but in my opinion, everything will rely on whether they move forward with their plan to recruit another new striker, as we anticipate they will.
Guiu must become their third choice if they sign Nicolas Jackson and a new striker. It pains me so much to see an eighteen-year-old sit the entire season out, squandering vital development time. I suppose we’ll have to wait and see; if another striker isn’t added, Guiu should have plenty of opportunities this year.
But Chelsea has to concentrate on signing a proven striker immediately, since I believe they are in dire need of one. We need more for the present; we cannot only rely on potential.
