Cameron White, a former white-ball captain of Australia, has been named as the man who can lead the Melbourne Renegades back into the BBL picture.
After a poor seventh-place finish in his third season as head coach, David Saker left in May. White has agreed to a three-year contract to take his place.

The forty-year-old Cameron is taking on his first head coaching position, but he has been an assistant with the Adelaide Strikers and has worked under Sydney Sixers manager Greg Shipperd for the last two years.
Pick two went to Renegades in the BBL foreign draft order that was revealed on Thursday.
In all three formats, Cameron played for Australia 142 times as a player. His contributions as a middle-order hitter for the white-ball teams are what made him most famous.
White led the T20I team six times and the ODI team once, in 2011. White’s Test career was restricted to four outings during a 2008 tour of India.
Additionally, he was a part of the Australian team that won the 2009 ICC Champions Trophy after defeating New Zealand in the championship match. Cameron participated in the Renegades’ lone BBL title in 2019 on a domestic level.
Cameron, the Sheffield Shield captain of Victoria with the longest tenure, scored almost 7000 runs in the first class between his summer 2000–2001 debut as a youngster and his last match in 2019.
