Lancashire has recruited Anderson Phillip for the first four months of the 2025 summer season. They anticipate that Phillip will be available for both the T20 Blast group stage and eleven County Championship games.
Despite collecting 15 wickets at a rate of 23.93 in three Championship games by the conclusion of the previous season, fast bowler Phillip could not prevent Lancashire from suffering relegation from Division One.

“I really enjoyed my spell with Lancashire at the end of last season and I am excited by the opportunity to return for the 2025 season to spend a longer period of time at Emirates Old Trafford,” Phillip stated.
“My top goal for the upcoming season is to help Lancashire return to Division One at the first attempt, and I hope that I can contribute to the team’s success by playing well with the ball.”
“The standard of first-class cricket in England is high and as close as you can get to playing Test cricket, so I am looking forward to being back next summer, continuing to test myself in those conditions, learning and improving my game.”
The 28-year-old Phillip has represented the West Indies in five ODIs and two Test matches, the most recent of which was in 2022.
“Mark Chilton, Lancashire’s director of cricket performance, stated that Anderson’s performances in the last three games of the season really impressed us, and we jumped at the chance to bring him back for a longer spell next season.”
“As we try to win more red-ball games, Dale [Benkenstein] and I have been talking about how we want to speed up our bowling approach. We are certain that Anderson will do that, and he also has the advantage of being familiar with our surroundings.
“Anderson showed a great attitude when he was with us, and we think he has all the makings of a fast bowler, with more room to develop and get better. We’re excited to collaborate with Anderson once more the next season and support him as he pursues his goals of playing for his country.”
