The defending champions, Ahmednagar district, won the second Krantijyot Mahila Pratishthan Yuva Kabaddi Series Inter District Youth League 2024 after putting up yet another incredible onslaught. They won 41–17 in the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi, Pune, on Saturday, handily defeating Palghar district.

The competition came to an intriguing finale with the encounter between Palghar district and Ahmednagar, when the reigning champions took on a squad that had defied all odds to reach the summit showdown.
The winning team took home ₹20 lakh in prize money, while the runners-up took home ₹10 lakh. An elite competition held year-round, the Yuva Kabaddi Series is renowned for developing budding new kabaddi players since its founding in 2022. The series just commemorated finishing its 1000th game in under 23 months. Together with Krantijyot Mahila Pratishthan, the Maharashtra State Kabaddi Association oversaw the organization of the tournament’s second Maharashtra edition.
Approximately the last month, 124 matches were played by 16 teams, totaling approximately 320 under-23 athletes in the 80 kg weight category. Every squad featured the ideal balance of seasoned players and up-and-coming hopefuls hoping to follow in the footsteps of their legendary colleagues. Ahmednagar was represented by Shinde, a member of the Puneri Paltan team that won the PKL 10 title, Patare, who was instrumental in leading the Haryana Steelers to the championship game, and Zaware of the Telugu Titans.
With 207 points, Zaware was declared the tournament’s Best Raider and received a cash reward of ₹50,000, while Dadaso Pujari of Kolhapur was voted the Best Defender with 61 tackle points and a prize purse of ₹50,000.
