The third Test of the series is set to begin on December 14 at the Brisbane Cricket Ground. Australia captain Pat Cummins stated that winning a Test match on Australian soil is a source of pride before to the third Test of the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy match against India at the Gabba. The hosts recovered well after losing badly to the visitors by 295 runs at Perth’s Optus Stadium, where Jasprit Bumrah, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, and Yashasvi Jaiswal all had outstanding performances.

Now that the series is tied at one, the following match will be played at “The Gabba,” where, in the 2020–21 trip, an inexperienced Indian team handed Australia their first Test defeat in more than 32 years.
“I believe that winning is a source of pride in Australia. These are the conditions at home. We grew up playing in these conditions. Winning Test Series away from home is, in my opinion, the hardest thing in cricket right now. You sort of have to win everything at home and attempt to get some victories abroad where you can in order to qualify for the World Test Championship. Without a doubt, we expect to win every home series here.
The 31-year-old also discussed the intention to throw bouncers to the Indian batters since their bowlers will benefit from the surface.
“Yes, it might. In the Adelaide Test, it was successful. “It’s always in the back of your mind as a sort of Plan B, or maybe it comes with Plan A for some of the batters if it looks really uncomfortable and likely to take wickets,” Cummins said.
The skipper continued by praising Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh’s batting approach and mindset.
“I believe that everyone approaches things slightly differently. Trav and Mitch are born shooters, you know. They approach things that way. Some of the other men, especially here at the Gabba, have, you know, skimmed the cat a little bit differently. From day one to day two or three, things might alter, you know. Everybody has a different approach. Playing to your strengths is crucial, in my opinion, and Trav did just that last week,” the fast bowler continued.
