The star Abhishek Sharma, an Indian cricket player, has become a sensation in the sport. The 24-year-old superstar has recently dominated everything from the Indian team’s glory in the short format to his lightning-fast knocks in the IPL. In the current white ball series, he recently grabbed the show with a brilliant effort against England in the fifth Twenty20 International.
The latest ICC men’s T20I batting rankings witnessed a significant increase following Abhishek’s outstanding performance against England at the Wankhede Stadium, when he scored 135 runs off of 54 balls. The 24-year-old jumped 38 spots into second place during the blitzkrieg at Wankhede.

With an 855 rating, Australia’s top hitter, Travis Head, continues to be ranked first. Abhishek Sharma, however, has an 829 rating.
With a rating of 803, second-place finisher Tilak Varma dropped to third place, while Phil Salt and Suryakumar Yadav moved up to fourth and fifth place, respectively.
With no T20I matches scheduled for the Indian side in the near future, 24-year-old Abhishek Sharma will have to wait as he works on his skills in the hopes of quickly rising to the top of the rankings.
Even after the five Twenty20 Internationals against England, Abhishek Sharma continues to lead in runs scored. Jos Buttler came in second with just 146 runs in five innings, while he scored 279 runs.
Furthermore, the 24-year-old’s 135 runs off 54 balls set a record for the best individual score by a male Indian player in the shortest format. With just 26 rating points separating him from Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma is now vying for the top slot.
