After missing out on the Indian Premier League (IPL) playoffs for the past ten years, PBKS have been in a rut. But ever since the IPL began in 2008, the team has always sought out young players. They have placed a strong focus on young players, from Mandeep Singh to Arshdeep Singh, who either became mainstays for their home teams or made an impression on the world stage.

By keeping Shashank Singh and Prabhsimran Singh, PBKS has once again shown its trust in young players. In the November auction, they did, however, make some wise investments in additional young people. These fresh talent might enjoy a breakthrough season with the PBKS.
Harnoor Singh Pannu
As the BLV Blasters won the 2024 Sher E Punjab T20 Trophy, the teenage player had a tremendous season, amassing 578 runs from 12 games, including six fifties, and averaging 58.
After making his PBKS First-Class and T20 debuts in 2022, the young player was recalled to the team for the 2024 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) and participated in one match against Meghalaya. If PBKS want to give him a chance, Harnoor is an excellent fit for top-order positions and can easily clear the ropes against pacers.
Pyla Avinash
When Pyla Avinash was selected for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy squad in 2022, Andhra saw him as a future star. But he had to wait another two years and didn’t play any games in the edition. The 24-year-old has to play in the Andhra Premier League and score a century for the Bezawada Tigers in the 2024 season in order to get it.
He scored 55 off 39 balls to make an impression in his first SMAT competition against a formidable Maharashtra bowling team.
Priyansh Arya
With 325 runs from nine innings at an average of 40 and a strike rate of 176, the young player has been in outstanding scoring form for Delhi, which has greatly aided them in getting to the SMAT 2024 semifinals. The tournament’s high point came when Arya hit 102 off only 43 balls against Uttar Pradesh. Delhi won by 47 runs because to his ten enormous sixes and five boundaries.
Prior to that, Arya was the talk of the town in the Delhi Premier League as he helped the South Delhi Superstarz to 308/5 in 20 overs with six sixes in a single over.
Suryansh Shedge
With outstanding performances in knockout rounds, including a spectacular 36 not out off 15 balls in the summit match against Madhya Pradesh, this Mumbai teenager is undoubtedly the center of attention. PBKS guided the home team to the SMAT 2024 title.
Even though he only played nine games and scored 131 runs altogether, he was not out six times and had an incredible strike rate of 252. In the Vijay Hazare Trophy, he has also been reliable, taking five wickets in seven games and hitting 85 runs in the lower order.
